La Palma, an island of spectacular landscapes and not much traffic, is one of the highest islands in the world regarding its area. Will you dare it?
The green circle Length: 1 hour An easy circular route, suitable for the general public, through Cumbre Vieja eastern slope. The trade winds' direct influence above this area allows us to enjoy a healthy mix of native vegetation: heath-mirtle cloud forests, canary pines and some sticky broom patches.
La Traviesa Length: 4 hours Traviesa is the popular name of the path which ran accross at mid-level by the north of La Palma. It is a hard route (with constant ups and downs) but pleasant in general, because only in certain occasions we will lose the shadow of the trees
Sulphur tracks Length: 6 hours It is the bike equivalent of the Volcanoes Route, one of the most well-known trekking options in La Palma. The only difference is that this route comes back by the eastern side of the island (and not by the same way we have used to reach our destination).
For very keen cyclists Length: 1 full day It is a long-distance route which draws a huge arch through the western slope of La Palma and five municipalities(Garafía, Puntagorda, Tijarafe, Tazacorte and Los Llanos de Aridane). Facing it requires quite a bit of fitness because of its monumental lenght and several steep stretches.
